Catalyzing School Transformation

Our Mission

EI partners with public schools to ignite students’ purpose, curiosity, and creative capacity. We work shoulder-to-shoulder with educators to transform school structures, systems, and culture so that every student experiences rigorous, meaningful, joyful learning and grows into their best self.

Our Work

We empower schools to become places where students engage deeply, find purpose and agency, build scientific and critical thinking skills, and grow into creative problem-solvers.

EI helps public school leaders and teachers redesign learning so every child experiences joy, purpose, and authentic engagement. We bring free and low-cost STEAM programs, tools, and professional development to public schools—empowering educators to create learning ecosystems where all students thrive.

Our Vision

We envision a future in which every public school becomes a place where students are engaged, inspired, and immersed in STEM-rich, project-based learning that matters. Educators feel supported and empowered to design innovative, hands-on curriculum tailored to their students. Communities experience sustainable transformation through long-term partnerships that redefine what teaching and learning can look like.

We envision a future where opportunity is not predicted by zip code. A future where every child has access to the kind of education that unlocks joy, agency, and limitless possibility.

About Us

Every day between 8:30 and 3:00, millions of children sit in classrooms with extraordinary capacity. Yet in too many communities, especially those facing the harshest challenges, people have quietly stopped believing that real change is possible.

We have not.

We support change in school structures, systems, culture and pedagogy. We help public schools foster curiosity, purpose, and engagement, cultivating the next generation of innovators and leaders.

And the results are unmistakable. In partner schools, chronic absenteeism has dropped by 35 percent, family engagement has increased by more than 230 percent, and more than 25,000 students have experienced joyful, hands-on learning that reconnects them with school.

“We changed how our school works. EI showed
teachers that play and exploration is learning.”
